Just what I neededJun 20, 2011
By Joe Graf My old XBox 360 (2007) model started red ringing so I ultimately bought a new slim (4GB model). I took the 20GB drive from the old xbox and plugged it into the new one and that worked, but now I needed a case to go around the old drive since it was completely exposed. This case fit perfectly and the xbox has been working just fine. Thanks

Perfect way to use an old XBox 360 drive in a 360 SlimOct 04, 2011
By Dennis Moore When my original XBox 360 died last week, I was happy to be able to save $100 by replacing it with the 4GB Slim instead of the 250GB model. I knew 4GB wasn't enough storage but that adding the 20GB hard drive from my original XBox would give me plenty, since it was still only half full after six years. Microsoft made life a little difficult by changing the form factor of its hard drive enclosures, but this inexpensive shell solves that problem easily and elegantly. You'll need a T6 and T10 screwdriver to liberate the old HD from its enclosure, unless you're like the guy on YouTube who just used a hammer. The Xbox Slim will recognize your old XBox 360 HD as an external volume: problem solved! (Of course, thrillseekers can just install the old XBox hard drive in a Slim without any enclosure at all, but even I'm not that cheap.)

great for smart peopleNov 07, 2011
By K. Stewart anyone who updates their xbox to a slim should get this to make their hard drive fit in the slims
anyone with half a brain would buy this and a used 'old' hard drive (or a flashed after market one) rather than paying an extra 100 bux to buy the microsoft one.

JUST SNAP IT ON!Sep 16, 2011
By Juicy Juice My old xbox 360 Pro died it got the E74 error & bottom right light in RED so I purchased the new Xbox 360s 4GB internal memory, and it was perfect until I got the Game HALO:REACH and I realized I could not play certain modes (Firefight, Score attack, and Campaign all in multi-player) so I read i needed a HDD for that, so I was waiting to buy a microsoft brand until the aftermarket came out, but shipping stuff to where I live they charge 56% custom fee on gaming consoles, so I read about this Item, and bought it, so I grabbed my Xbox 360 Pro HDD 20gb, disarmed the casing, and just placed the laptop HDD in the new xbox 360s case I got for $9 snapped in the cover, and fitted it in the xbox 360s, and works marvelous no problems and read all my saves and everything I had in it, I saved over $80 just buying the casing, BUY IT BUY IT, its worth it.

Does the job, good customer serviceAug 29, 2011
By Zaltyre The product does exactly what you'd expect it to- place an xbox hdd into the case, snap it shut, and you can load it into your 360S with no problems. Figuring out the orientation of the hard drive is easy, given that you can either look inside your console, or that the case has 4 plastic pins which fit conveniently into 4 holes on the hard drive. As long as you've got the connector in the logical direction, you should be set.
A cautionary note, however: I did say, "snap" and not "screw." The case snaps together, and is not easy to open back up (without breaking a clip or two.) Be certain that the hard drive you put in is the one you want in there pretty permanently.
There was a minor shipping problem with my order, as the company only sent me one half of the product that I ordered (they sent me a couple of the bottom half of the case, but none of the top half.) However, I called up CE Compass, and they were very helpful and sent me the rest of the order free of charge- very professional.
